Built in 1912 as a photography and art studio, Brighton Block is one of Edmonton’s most cherished historic landmarks. Perched above the river valley, the building has long been connected to the city’s creative spirit. For more than a century, its walls have welcomed artists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and community gatherings—making it a place where ideas, culture, and connection thrive. Today, that legacy continues as Brighton Block enters its next chapter as a unique event destination.
Our fourth-floor event space has recently undergone a thoughtful renovation that carefully preserves the character of the original building while introducing modern finishes and amenities. The result is a bright, contemporary venue framed by heritage architecture, large windows, and timeless details that give every event a sense of place and story.
The space offers an expansive 4,860 square feet of open-concept room on the fourth floor, comfortably accommodating up to 150 guests. Its flexible layout allows the room to transform easily for a wide variety of events—from elegant weddings and lively celebrations to corporate gatherings, fundraisers, art showcases, and community events. The venue includes a built-in bar area, dedicated food plating space for catering teams, and plenty of room to design a layout that suits your vision.
One of the most memorable features of Brighton Block is the 885-sqaure-foot south-facing balcony. Overlooking Edmonton’s beautiful river valley, this outdoor space offers fresh air, natural light, and incredible views. The balcony can accommodate up to 60 standing guests, making it an ideal setting for cocktail hours, networking moments, sunset photos, or simply giving guests a place to step outside and take in the scenery.
