PHOTOGRAPHIC

Brighton Block was built in 1912 by Ernest Brown, one of Edmonton’s earliest photographers, artists, and historians. The building originally housed his photography studio and extensive historic photographic collection. Faint exterior lettering, still partially visible today, reads: “Everything Photographic. Ernest Brown Block 1912.” A testament to the building’s creative roots, Brighton Block has long been a place dedicated to visual storytelling.

Located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, Brighton Block continues that legacy by offering a distinctive backdrop for photographers seeking character, versatility, and elevated design. With its blend of historic architecture and modern finishes, the venue provides rich textures, natural light, and thoughtfully curated spaces ideal for branding sessions, styled shoots, portraits, product photography, and creative projects.
